Privacy Policy
This site asks for four things when you download the demo and the same four when you buy a licence. The software itself asks for nothing and sends nothing. This page says exactly what is collected, why, where it goes and how to have it removed.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Eng. Moataz El Sherif, publisher of Data Center Simulator, Cairo, Egypt, reachable at Sales@datacentersimulator.net.
2. What is collected, and why
When you download the demo
Your name, mobile number, company and work email, plus the time of the request and the IP address it came from. They are used to send you the download link, to follow up once by a person, and to answer you if you write back. Nothing else. They are not sold, rented or shared with any third party for marketing.
When you buy a licence
The same four fields, the term you chose, and the payment reference returned by the payment processor. They are used to deliver your key, to support you during the licence, to issue a replacement key if you change computer, and to keep the accounting records the law requires.
When you activate
You send us a Machine ID. It is a short code derived from your computer’s hardware identifiers by a one-way hash. It identifies the computer for licensing and reveals nothing about you, your files or your network; it cannot be reversed into the identifiers it came from.
What the software collects
Nothing. Data Center Simulator runs entirely on your computer, keeps every project on your own disk, and makes no network connection of any kind — not for licensing, not for analytics, not for updates. Your designs never leave your machine unless you export and send them yourself.
3. Payments
Card payments are taken by XPay (xpay.app), an Egyptian payment service provider licensed by the Central Bank of Egypt and certified to PCI DSS Level 1. Your card number is entered on XPay’s page and is never transmitted to, seen by or stored on this site. XPay processes it under its own privacy policy. We receive back your name, email, phone, the amount and a payment reference.
4. Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts. Fonts and images are served from this domain. There is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss.
5. Where the data is kept, and for how long
Lead and order records are stored on the web server that hosts this site, in a location that is not reachable from the internet, and in the mailbox that receives the notifications. Both are in Egypt. Lead records are deleted after twenty-four months if no licence was bought. Order records are kept for as long as the licence is active plus the period Egyptian accounting law requires, currently five years.
6. Who else sees it
Only the people needed to run the service: the hosting provider (Link Datacenter, Egypt), the payment processor (XPay) for purchases, and the email service through which we correspond with you. None of them may use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell or share it with anyone else, and we disclose it only if the law requires.
7. Your rights
You may ask, at any time, what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Deletion of an active licence’s record ends the licence, because we can no longer prove it exists; we will say so before acting. Write to Sales@datacentersimulator.net from the address you used with us, and you receive a reply within one working day.
8. Email
You receive an email when you download the demo, when you pay, when your key is issued, and when you write to us. We may also write once, by a person, to ask how the demo went. There is no newsletter and no automated campaign. Reply “no more” to any message and you will not hear from us again unless you write first.
9. Children
The software and this site are for professional use and are not directed at anyone under eighteen. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. A change that affects how data already collected is used will be sent to the email address on record before it takes effect.
